Candlefish Candles – Scents Crafted in Charleston

I usually always have a candle lit when I am hanging out in my apartment. I love how they give off a refined scent, making my home smell good for myself and any visitors. In my opinion, candles make a more welcoming atmosphere (think about when you walk into a restaurant or shop with a lit candle). It’s always such a pleasure to light a candle when you come home from work or when you are trying to relax. Some even believe that lighting candles can have other positive benefits, such as an increase in focus and positive feelings while also decreasing stress. Certain scents even bring me back to remember certain nostalgic times or feelings.

I first found out about Candlefish’s candles through another blogger when she was doing a giveaway with them. I entered the giveaway, eager to win and try these candles for myself. To my surprise I actually got lucky and won! I was super excited and headed on over to their website to pick out my goodies.

I was excited to learn that Candlefish’s soy candles are made in house, since the majority of candles that I have are mass-produced and I don’t know much about the process they go through. Candlefish sells online, has select fragrances at exclusive Anthropologie stores, and have two boutiques in Atlanta, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina (if you ever happen to go, I heard that they also offer BYOB candle making classes that sound like a good time). Candlefish doesn’t only sell candles, they also sell soaps, matches, accessories, and more!

They had such a wide array of products to choose from, so I tried to pick out a few different things based on the scents that I personally like. It was hard to pick what I wanted my first candles to be, since they have over 100 products in their library! It was easy to sort through their library by fragrance families. The fragrance families that they offer include citrus, earth & wood, epicurean, floral, green & natural, ripe fruits & berries, spice & herb, oriental, and water & fresh. There was a section curated with summertime scenets. They also stock candles from Rewind, a brand that crafts hand-cut candles from repurposed wine bottles with scents that mimics your favorite wine in Charleston, SC.

Everything they had to offer sounded wonderful, but I decided on the 2.5 oz Candlefish No. 07 (which had notes of cognac, jasmine, & musk) and the 9 oz Candlefish No. 99 (which had notes of orange, rose, cedarwood). The 2.5oz candles sell for $10 and last for 15-20 hours while the 9oz candles sell for $22 and last for 60-70 hours. From the Rewind collection, I got a rosé candle with hints of rose petals, white peach and pink peppercorn for $28 and a rosé bar soap for $10 as well (because, with these candles I can responsibly rosé all day, that’s why). The last item I picked out as a NYC girl, which was the Rewind Manhattan candle because I thought it would look cute in my apartment with my other NYC decorations (sorry, had to be honest). The 12 oz Manhattan candle goes for $28 while the 7oz one goes for $22.

I never experienced a Candlefish candle in person prior to this, so I didn’t know what to except. My package came quite fast and each candle was individually wrapped carefully in a box inside of the larger box to protect it from damage, which was pleasant as I . 2 of the candles even came with little bags for storage. I would say that the description of the candle’s scents were pretty accurate for the ones I ordered. The scents are strong, but not overpowering or too much.

I received my Candlefish Candles in the mail about a month ago and have been loving them ever since! Not only do Candlefish’s candles give off an amazing aroma, they also make super cute decorations to spruce up any space! I think that the next time I order, I will re-stock on my favorites and even dare to try something news since they have so many more fragrances that I am dying to test out!

This post is not sponsored in anyway, shape, or form, I just really loved these candles and wanted to share them with you all!
