Meeting Barbra Palvin and Browsing the Victoria’s Secret Museum at the 5th Avenue Flagship Store & What I Think About Their New Incredible Bra

One of the greatest things about NYC is that there is always something going on for everyone and anyone. There are a lot of awesome opportunities to do cool things and I try to take advantage of them when they come around. I was super excited when I got an email from VS letting me know that their new angel Barbra Palvin would be taking pictures Tuesday, April 16th from 5-7pm at their 5th Avenue Flagship Store with a $75+ purchase including one of their new Incredible Bras that they were promoting. I almost deleted it when I was cleaning out my email thinking it was just another marketing email, but thankfully it caught my eye (as a marketing major and someone who has crafted e-mail’s I’ve spent countless hours studying how to craft the perfect subject line to increase opening rates)!

Since I needed a new bra (you’re supposed to replace yours every 6 months to a year depending on how often you wear them) and am always down for an opportunity to get some new VS goodies, I was down! I have a VS Angel Forever credit card, so whenever I shop at VS I accumulate points towards rewards, further justifying going. I actually attend college in the same area and would actually pass by the VS Flagship store on my way to class as I walked from building to building, so I knew I couldn’t make up an excuse not to go! I convinced some of my friends to go with me since I was anxious to go alone. Barbra was super sweet and friendly in person! I also got my photo with her featured on feelingthevibe.com, which was cool for me!

I have always been a big fan of Victoria’s Secret & VS Pink, their annual fashion show, and their angel line-up, so this was an wonderful experience for me. I met angel Candice Swanepoel and got to see the $10 million Royal Fantasy Bra she wore on the runway that year way back when in December 2014 at the Roosevelt Field Mall Victoria’s Secret with my friend Alana (photo below, I looked so young). I have ran into other models at different times in NYC as well, including seeing Candice once again, Bella Hadid, Winnie Harlow, Taylor Hill, and more, but some of them I didn’t get to talk to them since I didn’t want to disturb them as they were doing their thing.

At the Victoria’s Secret 5th Avenue Flagship store they also have the Victoria’s Secret Museum which features a lot of cool things, such as costumes that have been in the VSFS and the names of every model that has graced their runway. They also have different outfits featured in different displays inside and outside the store in windows that I would look at as I would walk by.

Since a $75 purchase was required in order to meet Barbra, I did get a few some new VS goodies. The first thing that I got were comfy undies as I always seem to need new ones and they have their usual deal of 5 for $28.50. The Incredible bras retail for $44.95 up to $49.95 depending on if the style you choose. I personally gravitate towards the lightly lined options and usually wear a 32 or 34DDD in VS, which makes it hard for me to find some bras, but they had some in my size in store – which took me by surprise since usually they don’t have many options for me. The Incredible bra is supposed to be comfy for everyday wearing and has “patented sides that shape and smooth, plus a wider band.” For me, these bras have been decently comfortable and are well hidden under dark clothes (I am sure the lighter ones would be good for a white/light shirt, but the colors I picked wouldn’t work well with that). I also got a free umbrella with my purchase since it was over $85! I thought this was a good freebie, since I always seem to lose my umbrellas and it is cute compared to the ones I usually have to pick up at a convenience store when I catch myself in the rain.

Overall, meeting Barbra and looking at the Victoria’s Secret Museum plus getting some new goodies was a great experience for me!
