Spring into Self Care with The Better Skin Co.

I was first introduced to The Better Skin Co. December 2018 when a fellow blogger sent me over some of their products including their Better Skin Zit No More, Better Skin Mirakle Cream, Better Skin Lava Magik, and Better Skin Amaze Balm. I have received another package from The Better Skin Co. this month, which gave me a refill of the Better Skin Mirakle Cream which I have been loving and introduced me to a new product, their Better Skin Gel Kleanse, which I was so eager to try!

I have been loving that The Better Skin Co. products are multipurpose and simplify my routine. The Better Skin Co. is for all people, regardless of They follow the Whole Foods Clean Label List and leave out any products that are deemed unworthy. I am always curious about what exactly I am using on my body, so I appreciated that they have all of their ingredients posted on their site with a dictionary. If you know me, I am big on sustainability and they claim to sustainably source when needed. They also NEVER test on animals or work with manufacturers who do, which is absolutely wonderful to me! I feel as if this brand genuinely cares about its customers, animals, the environment, and people in general.

The first product that I wanted to share with you all is their Better Skin Zit No More. This includes PhytoVie® pollution that battles against pollutants (there are a bunch of those in NYC) as well as salicylic acid wrapped in THREE soothing essential oils. Before using, I clear my skin and then use the rollerball to apply a single layer where it is needed. On their website it says you can do this up to 3 times a day, but since I have more sensitive skin I do this 1-2 times a day when I have a pimple. I have never experienced bothersome drying or peeling, but knowing my skin I believe this is best for me to prevent anything if it were to happen and with my time schedule I only get the chance to do it once or twice daily anyways. I am lucky that I do not have severe acne, however I do get a pesky break out every now and then, but this product zaps those zits away super fast!

Each one of these also came with a cute pink spatula to make application easier.

Their Better Skin Mirakle Cream is dubbed “Genius in a Jar” for good reason. It is described as a “one-stop, skin-loving, problem-solving, all-purpose cream”, which is exactly what I needed. It is handcrafted here in the USA. It’s ingredients include coconut oil, sea buckthorn, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe, and soothing algae as well as peptides with hyaluronic acid (these help skin appear smoother, more youthful and radiant). The benefits of using this product include reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (something that I am trying to prevent from a young age), hydration for my dry skin, and the possible reduction in the appearance of sunspots, age spots, and dark spots (I have quite a few)!

The Better Skin Amaze Balm nourishes your skin with an array of splendid ingredients including oil of coconut, avocado, sunflower, evening primrose, sea buckthorn, shea Butter, lanolin and beeswax. It is scented with a hint of grapefruit, which I love in a skincare product such as the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit ones I have used for years. My favorite features of this product are that it reduces puffiness and hyperpigmentation, as I suffer from both! The Amaze Balm is excellent as a sleeping mask.

The Better Skin Lava Mask was featured in the 2018 She Finds Drugstore Beauty Awards! Dubbed the “Triple Threat”, it is a daily cleanser, exfoliating scrub and revitalizing mask. It is rich with minerals, being created skin cleansing volcanic lava from France enriched with nourishing calendula, sweet mystic orange and grapeseed oils, cucumber, parsley, and chamomile. My favorite benefits of the Better Skin Lava Mask are that it buffs away dead skin cells and reduces the appearance of pores, as I am self-conscious about mine.

The Better Skin Gel Kleanse is perfect for anyone and everyone, regardless of if their skin is normal, oily, or combination. As mentioned previously, I have more dry skin. I have just began using this one, but when I do I apply it twice daily (in the morning and night). To apply it, I mix with some water, lather it all over my face and neck, lastly rinse with water. This kleansing gel is “boosted with charcoal to draw out impurities while French lava sloughs away the nasties”. It also features green tea and aloe, which are two of my favorite ingredients to incorporate into my skincare due to their benefits. Our seaweed trio, filled with Vitamin C, rounds out this formula to boost overall skin health. It conquered the daily grime I collect running around NYC. This product leaves my skin feeling moisturized, silky, and overall clean rather than stripped like some products have done.

Overall, I am truly impressed and wow-ed with their collection of products and have seamlessly into my skincare regime.
