Winc Wine Membership Review – Is this the future of drinking wine?

Winc is a winery that is revolutionizing the way you discover wine. I was introduced to Winc when they reached out to me offering me the chance to try some of their wines in exchange for promotion. Each month, Winc introduces you to new wines that match your tastes, shares the story behind each bottle with you, and teaches you extensive wine knowledge that you can share with your family and friends. Winc believes that the experience of getting a great bottle of wine should be as simple as enjoying one. Winc’s team creates and curates over a hundred wines, making the experience of exploring wine easy and pleasurable – so you can spend more time enjoying the wine in your glass rather than going through the traditional wine shopping experience. Winc is an ever-growing community of hundreds of thousands of wine lovers.

Who started Winc? Where is Winc?

Winc was founded in 2012 by Xander Oxman and Geoff McFarlane because of a shared belief that wine should be more accessible: simpler to get and easier to enjoy. They joined forces with winemaker and sommelier Brian Smith to build a personalized wine club that has quickly grown into Winc—a California-based winery offering an online membership experience, with wines that are featured at select retailers and restaurants nationwide

Cool. So, how does Winc work?

Upon arrival, Winc asks you to complete a quick survey consisting of six questions to get personalized suggestions fit to your own unique desires (don’t worry, you can switch out the wines that were suggested to you if you decide you want to go with something else).

There is not a membership fee, it is FREE!

By using my link HERE, you can get $22 of your first 4 bottles of wine and free shipping! With your free Winc membership, you get $59.95 credited to your account for you to use on wine anytime you like (you can order more if you would like). You can skip any month with no fees & you get free shipping on orders with 4 or more bottles or are over $50 with your membership.

Winc members get discounts on each bottle of wine on Winc’s website & shipping discounts if their order doesn’t meet the minimum for free shipping.

Although you do not have to be a Winc member to order off of Winc’s website, I would recommend it as you get much better deals and have the excitement of tasting new products each month.

The wines that I got in my first order were:

2017 Wonderful Wine Co. Red Blend

($14.99 regular, $12.99 for members)

This wine is light, sweet, and has tasting notes of of raspberry, rose petal, strawberry, violet with a hint of spice. Think of this wine as candy for grownups. You can pair it with rich savory foods or you can double down and have it with chocolate.

2017 Rosa Obscura Red Blend

($14.99 regular, $12.99 for members)

This wine is lush with full body, an ultra-smooth texture. It is slightly sweet and has tasting notes of cocoa, cranberry, and jasmine. Pair it with a hearty savory meal (think juicy steak or roasted chicken )– or lean into the sweetness and go for chocolate (which is notoriously difficult to pair with wine, so it’s a win). Or if you can’t decide, just enjoy as a delicious dessert all on its own.

2018 Cocomero Rosé (Scratch and Sniff)

($16.99 regular, $14.99 for members)

This wine is inspired by the summer treat of choice in Italy and takes a fresh, California approach with this bright, juicy rosé. Cocomero translates to watermelon in Italian. It is light-bodied and dry, but bursting with watermelon flavor. The fun starts before you even pop the top, this wine has a scratch-n-sniff label!

2018 Loves Me Not White Blend

($15.99 regular, $13.99 for members)

This wine is sweet and has tasting notes of apricot, lychee, peach, and white flowers. Loves Me Not White is a floral, aromatic wine with candied fruit flavors and a luscious, round texture.

All of these wines are vegan & eco-friendly as well!

I have yet to try my wines, as I have been holding off to enjoy them with friends! The beautiful packaging is a bonus as well.

One of Winc’s most popular wines is their “Summer Water“, which was unfortunately sold out when I was creating this order, but I hope to get my hands on it soon! It is back in stock now, so if you end up adding it to your order, let me know how it is!

If you like to try new wines and are on a budget, I would suggest for you to try Winc. It is always fun to learn about new wines on the market and you may even find a new favorite through this program!

Winc is also very affordable when compared to other wine clubs I’ve heard about. Other wine clubs may even charge membership dues, but not with Winc! Out of all the memberships that I have been a part of, this one genuinely is my favorite so far!
